The Tax Parcel Viewer provides the general public and other interested parties local government property tax and assessment information. It is a single application that can be deployed by local governments and used by citizens on a desktop PC, mobile phone, and tablet device.

To locate a parcel, simply click on the map or enter an address or parcel number in the search box and select a parcel from the list.

Locating a Parcel

A parcel can be found by searching for it by address, owner name, or Auditor's PIN.

• To find a parcel by address, type the beginning of the address into the search bar, and click on the parcel you want to view. When searching by address, use abbreviations for directions and road type - without periods. For example, a search for "Fifty-One North Sixty-Fourth Street" would return no results, but a search for "51 N 64th St" would return a correct result.


• To find a parcel by name, use "<lastname>, <firstname>" format. Be sure to include a space after the comma following the last name. For example, to find a property owned by John Doe, type "Doe, John" in the search bar, then click on the result from the list that appears. You can also search by first name if necessary.


• To find a parcel by Auditor's PIN, simply type the Auditor's PIN in the search bar without spaces, and click the result from the list.

Map Based Navigation

There are several ways to interact with the map:

1. Use the base map switcher (located in the upper right corner; not available on smartphone) to select the base map you'd like to interact with
2. Hold down the shift key and drag a box on the map to zoom in
3. Hold Down Ctrl+Shift to zoom out
4. Roll your mouse scroll wheel to zoom in/out
5. Click the plus/minus buttons on the upper left side of the map to zoom in/out.

Searching

The search box can be used to find a parcel:

1. Enter a complete or partial address, Parcel ID, or subdivision/condo name
2. Click on the item in the results list to locate the parcel on the map

Using the Toolbar Widgets

Several widgets are available to provide various features for the map. The popup window that appears can be moved around the page as you desire. To open a widget, simply click its icon once in the upper right side of the page. To dismiss, click the icon again, or click on the 'x' on the upper right side of the widget popup window.

• The measurement widget can be used to measure the dimensions of a particular parcel in a rectangular shape (square feet), or from side to side. Also, this widget can be used to view the longtiude and latitude of a particular location.
  
  To measure a property's square feet, open the measurement widget, then click on the left-most tool. Then, click on the map in four different locations, making a rectangle/square in the process. On the last corner of the rectangle/square, double click instead of single clicking. This will close the shape you just drew and show the measurement of the area in square terms. To view square feet, select it from the drop down on the right side of the measurement tool popup window.
  
  To make a side-to-side measurement, click on the ruler tool in the middle of the popup window, then click on any side of a parcel once. After that, double click on another side. This will end the measurement and show you the measured distance. Click on the drop down on the right to change the measurement from miles to feet (or whatever you desire).
  
  To get the longitude/latitude of a location, click on the right-most tool in the measurement popup window, then simply mouse over the map, and the coordinates will change accordingly.


• The legend widget allows the selection and deselection of a number of attributes on the map. To show/hide certain data, check/uncheck any box you like, and the corresponding data will change on the map.


• The GPS widget gives the application permission to determine your location, and zoom to the parcel you're currently located at.


• The report viewer allows you to view and print a report of the map and parcel you've selected. First, find a parcel using the above instructions. Then, click on the report widget, go to the left side of the page, select your preferred layout and scale, and then click "Download Report". This will take a few seconds to load, then open a .pdf document in a new tab/window that can be easily printed. If the parcel report fails to load, please disable all popup blockers and try again.


• The basemap widget allows you to switch the type of map that shows on the page. Simply click the widget, then choose a basemap you prefer. The map will then change to reflect your decision.


• The collapse side panel button allows you to hide the search panel to give you more area to see the map.


• The buffer widget allows you to show the properties that are within the specified number of feet you type in, up to 2000 feet. The reference point is the center point of the property, you selected.
